In response to the rising child abuse cases in recent years, Plan International Hong Kong has been actively promoting the concept of 'Child Protection' and launched the 'Child Protection School' support and recognition program in 2024 with sponsorship from the Wu Jieh Yee Charitable Foundation. The program partners with nearly 50 local early childhood education institutions to build a safer learning environment.
If you're looking for a meaningful and fun way to spend the weekend with your children, join Plan International's 'Child Protection School' support and recognition program exhibition at Tai Wai Wai Fong L2 Atrium from September 12 to 14. The free-entry event welcomes parents and their children, educators, and the public to not only showcase the efforts of 'Child Protection Quality Schools' but also offers a range of interactive and educational experiences for both children and adults to learn about child protection in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, raising awareness of child abuse and providing knowledge on prevention and response to child abuse cases.
One of the exhibition highlights is the enlarged picture book, 'The Child Protection Incident Book,' which takes participants on an immersive adventure as they turn into detectives to uncover the truth behind the mysterious events at the Tong Xin Kindergarten. Through this interactive experience, children can learn how to identify and handle suspected child abuse cases and understand the correct steps for early intervention and referral. Those who successfully complete the mystery will receive adorable 'Little Pig' bookmarks and card holders as rewards.
Additionally, the event features 'Little Pig, Got a Problem?' an interactive picture book theater for parents and children, led by lively clowns who guide them through the world of 'Little Pig,' stimulating creativity and imagination while teaching them how to protect children in their daily lives. There will also be a 'Preschoolers' Good Voice' performance, where everyone can enjoy a pleasant weekend filled with music and innocence.
